Day 01 – Arrival Paro and in the evening a welcome cocktail and orientation talk

Day 02 – Drive to the old ruins of Drugyel Dzong and a visit to Ta Dsong, the National Museum.  After lunch a 2 hour drive to Thimphu.  Along the way visit Simthokha Dzong, built in 1629 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Day 03 – Sightseeing tour of Memorial Chorten, Hindicraft Emporium, Tsashichho Dzong

Day 04 – Early morning Drive to Paro Airport for departure

Cultural Tour / Western Bhutan – 8 Days / 7 Nights

Day 01 – Arrival Paro

Day 02 – Drive in the morning to Drugyel Dzong and on return visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse and a sightseeing trip to Paro bazaar.  After lunch, drive to Ta Dzong followed by a short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong.

Day 03 – A short drive to Satsam Chorten followed by a 2 hour trek to Taktsang Tea House, from this point one has the best close-up view of the Monastery.  Lunch at the Tea house and return walk to Satsam Chorten for a drive to Thimphu.

Day 04 – Sightseeing of Memorial Chorten, national Library, handicrafts Emporium and Tashichho Dzong. 

Day 05 – A 3 hour drive to Punakha across the Dochula Pass.  On the way light refreshments will be served at the Dochula Café.  Lunch at Khuru Camp.

Day 06 – In the morning visit a typical farm house where traditional buttered tea with “zaw” (puffed rice) will be served.  Visit Wangdi Phodrang Dzong and return to Khuru Camp.

Day 07 – Drive to Dochula for lunch and commence drive to Paro.  Visit Paro Bazaar.

Day 08 – Departure flight from Paro.
