8 Days Trans-Himalaya Adventure

Day 01 – Depart from Nepal, Take the international flight about 50 minutes, arrive at Gonggar Airport of Lhasa (3600m), coach to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel, the rest of time is at leisure.

Day 02/03 – Two full days Lhasa city tour: Potala Palace, Jolkhang Temple and Bhakhor Market, Drepaung Monastery, Norbulingka or Sera Monastery.

Day 04 – After breakfast at 8 a.m. drive 280km via Kambala Pass (4794m), stopping en route at the Yamdrok Lake, have a picnic, and crossing Karola Pass (5010m), Simila Pass (4330m) to Gyantse, transfer to Gyantse Hotel.

Day 05 – Morning around 9 O’clock visit Pacho Monastery and Kumbum Stupa, lunch in the hotel, then drive 90km to Shigatse.  Upon arrival, visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, Check in Shigatse Hotel.

Day 06 – Early Morning depart from Shigatse and travel southwest along the Friendship Highway to Tibngri (240km), across Tsuo La Pass (4500m) to Sakya Bridge and turning left to visit to Sakya Monastery if time permits, climbing another pass Gyatso La (5222m), overnight at Qomolangma Hotel in Shegar (4300m)

Day 07 – A full day drive 250 km to ZhangMu, via Lalung le Pass, Check in ShangMu Hotel.

Day 08 – Cross the Nepal border and exit to Nepal
